Homecraft Textiles - Refund Policy

All goods purchased from Homecraft Textiles come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to have your goods repaired or replaced if the goods are faulty. You are not entitled to have your goods unconditionally returned, exchanged or refunded simply because you have changed your mind. We do however provide refunds and exchanges subject to the below conditions:

Refunds – Online Orders

Refunds and exchanges are only possible within 14 days of the purchase. Items that you are returning have to be sent back in the packaging and in resalable conditions.

All refunds are subject to a 35% restocking fee. Postage charges cannot be refunded. Refunds will be processed once the item has been received by us.

Goods on which refunds are not available.

Cut items i.e fabric are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We want all our customers to be happy with their products. If for any reason you are unable to use the product you have purchased, simply return it to us unopened within 14 Days for a full store credit, less any delivery fees. This excludes cut fabric, clearance items & display stock.

Cut Fabric

Whilst every effort is made to provide your order in one piece, we are constrained by existing piece lengths and roll sizes. Sometimes orders over 5M are shipped in multiple pieces. Wherever possible it is always our preference to ship your order in one piece. If you absolutely require your order in one piece please specify under the notes section and we will contact you prior to shipment if this is not possible.

Dye Lots

Due to the nature of the textile industry, dye lots can vary between production batches, which means we cannot guarantee an exact colour match over time. Variances in shade are a natural outcome of the dyeing process and are common across all fabric types. If achieving an exact colour match is critical for your project, we recommend purchasing sufficient fabric in a single order to ensure consistency. Alternatively, feel free to email us, and we will gladly advise if there has been a dye lot change for the fabric you are interested in.

Claims for damage to parcels in transit & flaws in fabric

If there is a fault in a fabric or your item is damaged we will immediately dispatch a replacement piece of the exact same fabric or item to you. You will be required to return the faulty piece back to us. 

Please make sure you carefully inspect your fabric prior to cutting or sewing - as we cannot accept any claims for faulty fabric which has already been cut up or partially sewn.

All claims must be made within 5 days of receiving your order.

Rest assured all fabric is carefully inspected for faults prior to being dispatched. 

Please note that due to the nature of textiles, some fabrics may have minor imperfections such as loose threads, small pulls, or slight variations in weave. These are inherent characteristics of fabric production and fall within acceptable quality tolerances. While we strive to provide high-quality materials, it is important to understand that fabrics are not always 100% flawless. If you expect absolute perfection, we kindly advise reconsidering your purchase. Refunds and exchanges will only be provided for genuine faults or defects, not for natural fabric characteristics.

If unsure about colour or texture we recommend you buy a sample

Homecraft Textiles strives to ensure that our photos closely represent the actual product. However, please note that images and colours may appear differently on various computers or mobile devices. Additionally, factors like lighting, shininess, and fabric texture can affect how the product looks in photos.

If you have specific requirements for your fabric or are uncertain about the colour, weight, or stretch, we recommend ordering a sample through our website before making larger purchases, as we do not have an unconditional return policy. Always bare in mind that just because a fabric has the same name as a fabric you may have purchased elsewhere, it does not mean that the fabric is exactly the same. Weight and texture may vary and fabric purchased could be heavier, lighter or feel different. Always buy a sample as we will not exchange or refund a fabric under any circumstance because it does feel like you expect it to.
