This 23oz extra-heavyweight Japanese selvedge denim from renowned mill Kaihara® is a serious fabric for serious denim projects. Woven in a dense 4×4 construction, it has an exceptionally rigid, structured handle and outstanding durability — the kind of denim denim-heads actively seek out.
At this weight, the fabric starts raw and uncompromising, then slowly breaks in with wear, developing deep, high-contrast fades that are unique to the wearer. The clean selvedge edge with classic red detailing is a hallmark of authentic Japanese denim and is prized for cuffed hems and exposed seams.
