It’s a very high-quality fabric that will not allow air or water through, making it ideal for outdoor use. The ripstop fabric has raised squares in the fabric to prevent it from ripping.
As ripstop fabric doesn’t rip, it’s most often used for kites, tents, other camping equipment, banners, water-repellent jackets, sleeping bags, clothing, luggage bags, hot air balloons, parachutes, and yacht sails.
